Feed
Pigs are almost omnivorous, yet it is big science to create optimal nutrition!
The pigs must have high growth, they must not become ill or gaunt, they should not use too much food and become obese, gastric health must be in order, the meat must taste good and not have strange consistency or taste, it should not be toxic, but look, smell and taste good!
Our experienced partners know all these issues. From analysis and current prices we make the optimum feeding plan using advanced computer calculations.
The real science is to use the cheapest of the feed materials at hand and achieve good results!
Logistics
Logistics is not just moving pigs from A to B. Live animals must be transported without suffering any harm, without being infected by sick pigs they pass, or from the pigs that were previously in the truck and left bacteria or vira.
It is also important to wash the car 100% for the disinfection means to work properly, otherwise it is just neutralized by the dirt. The driver can also carry an infection and cough lung infections that harm the pigs.
The feed must also be transported safely, without risk of unwanted bacteria, mold, etc. in the feed. It all has to be planned, and we have the knowledge and the experience!
Equipment
There are lots of different manufacturers and products of equipment for a modern pig farm today. And it is very important that the equipment meets the highest standards, but at the same time does not cost too much. Everything is a balance!
If the inventory is not properly designed, the animals quickly destroy it and jump together, cutting themselves off from the feed or water. The animals can also be injured or infected, and ultimately this can result in rejection or deaths.
If the ventilation does not function properly, you risk that the pigs die from lack of oxygen or heat. Since pigs cannot sweat, they are very sensitive to heat. Conversely, they cannot stand too much drag! It is therefore important to have selected the correct solution!
Even in terms of food production, the right equipment is important. For fine grinding can cause stomach ulcers, too coarse grinding gives bad utilization of the feed.
Condensation may cause moisture in feed silos. It also allows toxic mold fungi and poisoning of pigs.
Everything must be thought through!
